Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio GmbH was one of the gold award winners at the Sappi European Printers of the Year 2008. The company came out tops in the category of “Magazine” for its Drupa Report Nr. 4. It won over the jury with a combination of high-quality offset printing and sophisticated finishing technology. Managing directors Werner Drechsler and Martin Piszczek accepted the coveted award, which pays tribute to print excellence in Europe, at the gala awards ceremony in Hamburg on 31 May.
“The Drupa Report Nr. 4 enabled us to effectively demonstrate the surface finishes that our team can conjure up with the latest technologies,” said a delighted Werner Drechsler, Managing Director of Druckstudio GmbH. “We’ve been specialists in the high-quality segment for many years now and we use every trick in the book to create our product finishing concepts. For the Drupa Report, we focused on UV spot varnish, iriodin varnish and hot foil embossing. Ultimately, that’s what gave us this prestigious award.”
