The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group was awarded gold in the “Corporate Books” category at this year’s Innovation Awards of the German Printing Industry. Managing Director Werner Drechsler accepted the award at the Liederhalle convention centre in Stuttgart on 16 October. The award was presented for the décor book “Interprint Living in Contrasts”. With this exceptional print product, the print and media service provider shows just how innovative offset printing can be.
“Rich in contrast and vibrant” was how the 22-strong panel of judges summed up the execution of “Interprint Living in Contrasts – Décor Trends 2013/2014”. The experts were particularly impressed by the design and use of materials. Interprint is a world-leading décor printing company for timber materials used for living room, kitchen and bathroom furnishings and laminate flooring. “Our décor book is a successful print product that leaves a lasting impression thanks to its striking and memorable surface finishing and combination of materials,” said Managing Director Werner Drechsler. “The whole team is delighted with the award, which is a tremendous affirmation of our work.”
Over 900 print companies submitted entries for the tenth industry awards of the German printing industry. The judges presented awards in 26 categories from the areas of “Print Products” and “Marketing”. Druckstudio was among the finalists in the Catalogues and Business Reports categories with four other products.
