The Druck&Medien Awards 2009 finalists have been announced.
Druckstudio GmbH has been nominated not once, but twice – in the categories “Commercial Printer of the Year” and “Training Company of the Year”.
The year’s top commercial printer must impress the judges with its innovative development. They are looking for the company that wins through in the graphic arts industry’s most fiercely competitive sector.
The Training Company of the Year award, meanwhile, goes to businesses in the graphic arts industry that have earned themselves particular credit with their training and employee qualification initiatives.
The panel of judges from trade journal “Druck&Medien” examined a total of 280 entries. “This is the highest number of entries since the awards were first held five years ago. It wasn’t easy for the judges to reach a decision,” revealed Imke Laurinat, chairwoman of the panel and editor of Druck&Medien. “Our sector incorporates a very wide range of companies and I am particularly pleased that this impressive diversity is reflected in this year’s list of finalists,” she added.
Being nominated is in itself an honour, and actually receiving an award is the crowning glory for outstanding work.
The award ceremony takes place on 29 October in Berlin.
